Join Pleasant Valley Climate Smart on Tuesday, November 1st at 6pm for a screening of 'Food, Inc.' This 2008 documentary examines corporate farming in America, and how the practices of producing cheap, inadequately safety-tested, increasing genetically-modified food and transportation that uses large amounts of petroleum products harm and exploit animals, employees, farmers, consumers and the environment. And it shows how eating locally-grown food, reading labels and the rapid growth of organic farming are providing hope for the future.

Afterwards, members of Pleasant Valley Climate Smart's Task Force will lead a brief discussion of the movie, and will also talk about their work to support our community in building a sustainable and balanced climate action programs, one step at a time - and how you may be able to help!
