Guiding Eyes for the Blind: Raise a Puppy, Change a Life

Saturday, July 2212:00—1:30 PMCommunity RoomPleasant Valley Library1584 Main St, Pleasant Valley, NY, 12569

It takes a village to raise a guide dog. Join puppy raisers Pam and Denis Freeman for an informational meeting about Guiding Eyes for the Blind. Meet puppies in the program and learn about this valuable service.
Since 1954, Guiding Eyes has graduated more than 10,000 guide dog teams. The meaningful change that these beautiful dogs bring to the lives of people facing the daily challenges that blindness and vision loss present is powerful. The journey from playful pup to professional Guiding Eyes dog takes up to three years and can cost up to $50,000 annually. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, all services are provided completely free of charge to people who are blind or experiencing vision loss.

All ages are welcome.

Registration is required and opens at 9am on Friday, June 23rd.
